Here's my story:
I grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY, and was the first person in my family to attend college. I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a certificate from the Teacher Preparation Program. While at Princeton, I was a four year varsity athlete in women’s rowing and captained the women’s crew my senior year. (There’s still a lot of orange and black in my wardrobe!)
I have worked in higher and secondary education for 25 years. I spent 22 years working in Division I varsity athletics at Cornell, Princeton and then Dartmouth. I began as an assistant rowing coach, moved on to become a Head Rowing Coach and then shifted into administration as a Senior Associate Athletics Director at Dartmouth.
In 2021 I transitioned to secondary education where I used the skills I developed recruiting for the most selective institutions in the U.S. to counsel high school students and families in the college application and financial aid process. I am a strategic thinker with over two decades' experience navigating college admissions from multiple perspectives.
I am currently enrolled in a Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters program at Vermont State University and will graduate in 2026. I live in Quechee, VT with my two daughters Charlie and Hazel and one very mischievous dog Huck.
